Alice hasn't ever been in the nightclub before. Or any nightclub, really. She's torn between peering around in interest, and looking Mature and Professional.

And then she spots Puck, and blinks as she recognizes him. "Oh. Hello."

[puckishly]

... Well.

This isn't awkward.

"Hullo, Alice," he says cheerily. "I expect you've come about the children?"

This is like, the third person Puck's known that she hasn't. Lilly resolves to get out more.

"Alice, is it? I'm Lilly, sounds like you already know Puck. The baskets contain our children. Nice to meet you."

[_wonder_girl_]

"Yes, ma'am," Alice says, recovering her manners enough to curtsy. "Nice to meet you as well."

Oh look, babies! Alice leans forward to look into the baskets, smiling gently.

"Hello," she says very solemnly to the one baby who's awake.

Inara knocks on the door and enters the room, smiling at the picture before her. Even the recent sadness on Serenity hasn't stopped her from contributing her services to the Goodfellow-Kanes.

"Hey, kids. Am I too late to be interviewed?"

"Never!"

Lilly waves her in.

"I mean, assuming you want an interview and not just a drink."

[puckishly]

"Though we could supply the latter as well, if you desired it," Puck puts in cheerfully.

"I wouldn't say no to a drink, but I am officially here for an interview."

Inara comes and sits down, smiling at them both.
