Well, it's settled. Tristan two-very-confusing-middle-names Pendergast has finally found someone with more energy than him. A very furry and adorable someone.

Trotting behind him as he enters the room is Xenocrates, a toy American Eskimo. Though she's well-trained enough to know not to bark like mad, she's so excited about going somewhere new

*Xenocrates doesn't seem to be interested in Deimos, though; she's more interested in rolling around in the dustballs underneath the sofa, because obviously, that's the best thing to do when your fur is white--*

*grins* Like I said, the smartest dog in the world. -- *turns towards the sofa* Stop that! I just gave you a bath! -- Honest. Want to see her do a trick?

*--then it's probably a good thing she's hidden under a couch!*

No, really. *pauses* Wait, wait-- you'll get a kick out of this, I think. Xenocrates! Show him what happened during the Event. *which we'll assume is common family knowledge*

*and Xenocrates will actually pause in her terrorizing of dustballs and act out the Event as follows: she first lowers her ears and crawls under the coffee table with her tail tucked between her legs, then she rolls over and after a scared-sounding 'yipe' will play dead, and then she'll race out from under the table and attack Tristan's shoe, which is obviously supposed to represent Aloysius*

*...and she'll kneel to squee delightedly* Oh, she's adorable! What a sweet dog. Will she bite my hand off if I impose cuddles upon her?

*Xenocrates, after that stint under the sofa, is now covered with dust, but she'll shake herself off and skitter out because zomg new person! Yay!-- but first Tristan gets jumped upon!*

Um, no. *attempts to brush the dust off his pants* I think she may try to lick your face off, though.

*laughs, because awwww* I think I can hold my own in the face of that onslaught -- pun not intended. *and will hold her arms out for the puppyyyy, yes*

*with a grin--* Hey, Xenocrates? Introduce yourself properly.

*and Xenocrates kind of skids to a halt in front of Tori, tilts her head, and gives something that resembles a bow-- before pouncing on her and giving puppy!kisses*

--Okay, I guess that's good enough. *scritches Xenocrates on the head!* Probably the type of introduction I'd give, except with less slobbering. Though I sometimes pounce on people.

Called what? And have you actually taught Xenocrates some tricks, or is she still sitting when you tell her to 'roll over' and playing dead when you tell her to 'stay'--? That, and the lack of attention span, kind of reminded me of you. *innocent smile*

Nothing, nothing. *look of dismay* You haven't seen any of her amazing tricks yet? She acted out some important bits of family history for some of the other people around here. I'm sure she could manage something at your level. *grin*

Hey, Xenocrates. Act like Grace! *and Xenocrates just blinks confusedly* Good girl. *ruffles her ears and tosses her a treat*

*grins* She's cute. Not as cute as my dog, and most likely not as smart, but cute.

*Xenocrates will stand on her hinds legs and tilt her head at Perpetua cutely*

*laughs* That was showmanship. Any dog can look like the smartest dog in the world with the proper training and a good head on their shoulders. It's all in the hand signals. And the trust.

*Xenocrates will totally bask in the attention, wagging her tail furiously*
