It keeps me running...
I've started running again - just short jaunts about a mile at a time at my field down the street (it's mine because I'm the only one who ever uses it), but it's a start. I realized the other day that I have been wearing the same pair of running shoes since 1998, so I treated myself to a much-needed pair of new shoes this afternoon and immediately ( Read more... ) -
Radical hygiene
"When I go to the bathroom, I wash my pee pee on my own." Man, Iranians love to turn people into symbols of the opposition! Kids shows will probably be filmed with an 8-second delay from now on...I'm surprised they didn't start that sooner. You never know WHAT those young'uns will blurt out next! -
Another farewell
Today was my last day of touring with this first group of this season. They've been great travelers and I'll probably shed a tear or two when I give my farewell speech tonight because I'm sappy like that. This (day) is the life!
I love arrival day. There's no touring, nobody has annoyed me yet, and my only responsibilities are to greet the clients as they arrive at the hotel and answer any questions they might have about what lies ahead. Besides that, all I have done today is read, swim, shop for food and mess around on the internet, and I couldn't feel more accomplished ( Read more... ) -
Strange coincidence pending verification
A mere two days ago, Fergus turned me on to this website called The Retroscope. It's an addictive site full of photo sets from the past on just about every subject imaginable. I browsed through a few sets, including these totally awesome pictures of a young Barack Obama, and concluded that this is definitely my kind of stuff ( Read more... ) -
Horsey time
I feel like I posted about this ages ago, but that's because I tried to and then lost the post in a tragic closed tab incident that never saved properly.
