So, I'm staying at a hotel in Schaumburg, IL this weekend. This trip was one of my nephew's xmas presents - Schaumburg is home to the LegoLand Discovery Center. I was talking with my mom about the difference for me between music I like and music I love. There are some songs that I can just enjoy and listen to while I'm doing stuff, and people can talk during them, that's fine, it's just good music and is fine in the background or foreground. I haven't posted in a long time. This is because I'm not sure what to post. I try and keep in touch with many of my friends, and keeping this up has seemed somewhat superfluous as of late. I'm not thinking of deleting the account, as I still use some features (madisonwi community, for example), but I'm not sure if I will keep this up. Your input is

Apparently my parents have neglected to call the Roto-Rooter for a while. They realized this when, as mom was showering this morning, the downstairs toilet had a few bubbles of air come up. Bad sign. Well this can't be good. There apparently is "something in the water." Water companies, whether they purify for tap water or bottled, haven't been trying to filter the vast varieties of pharmaceuticals that we've peed out over the years. I had a very engaging dream last night that is quickly fading, and I wanted to get a bit down before it's gone so that I can sort of understand and recall the breathless feeling I have right now. It had a full plot, recurring characters, and a relatively consistent (if complicated) universe, so really, this is almost a short story.

Break began a week ago. It's lovely being home with my family and my kitties, even though the holidays tend to be a bit crazy.
