OOC: What happened to yesterday? I passed out from exhaustion after the World Cup final, that's what happened. As for this, I edited it a bit to try and condense it (there was A LOT), and decided that it would be more fun to just RP from after the ceremony. :D The wedding was being held at the small family Church in Queens. The weather was the type ( Read more... )

During the ceremony, Connie and Michael sat in the back of the church - not because they wanted to hide, but in case Connie had to quickly rush out to use the bathroom. Or waddle out as it were.

When they arrived at the reception and found their seats, Connie couldn't help but grin at the personalized fan. She would definitely be putting it to good use, despite the fact that she couldn't really dance comfortably (a fact that Michael was glad about and didn't bother to hide). She was already sweating just sitting there.

"I feel like a balloon," she muttered to her husband.
"A very nice looking balloon," he said quietly, taking her hand.
Connie smiled back at him and squeezed his hand in return. "I knew there was a reason I married you."
"Is that the only one?" he made a mocking face and Connie laughed.

She looked around and spotted Alex again, happy that her friend looked so content. When Alex happened to look in their direction, Connie waved and grinned.

Alex wasn't usually the kind of person who had a grin plastered to her face, but she did right now. She waved at Connie and then walked over to her, having to pause to let her excited nephew run past.

"Hey!" She greeted, hoping her friend wasn't too hot and uncomfortable.

"Hey, congratulations," Connie grinned back.
Michael smiled as well and nodded, indicating he echoed Connie's sentiments. "The ceremony was very nice."
Connie nodded. "It was. You look beautiful. Ellie looks so grown-up..."

"Thank you." Alex smiled to them both. "I think we messed up, but it was good." She told Michael.

She smirked at Connie, looking round to see Ellie was bobbing around with her Aunt Alice. "Yeah, a grown-up with picky choices. She had to have the same dress, the same hair style..." She grinned.

Claire stood off to the side as the guests filed out of the church, taking occasional pictures. So far everything had gone according and she had a ton of pictures.

Alex was hugged by every departing guest, and David shook hands with them. It took them all time to leave as a result. But when they were finally walking off up the road, that left the Eames and Dresden families remaining.

Claire walked over to the group, "Ready to get started?"

Alex was still smiling, brightly. She nodded to Claire, hoping the young photographer would be able to wrangle them. Nathan was too excited for words and was running around them in circles.

"Can everyone move together in front of the stairs, please?" Claire tried to get everyone into their places.

John helped his wife move to the stairs. David and Alex held hands as they did as instructed. David's parents, Maria and Michael, were the first to do so and they stood on opposite sides of the group.

Sam stood with Ellie, who was not looking anywhere near the camera.

Liv and Josh were talking with other guests, waiting their turn to congratulate David and Alex. They'd get their turn; right now, the happy couple was busy on picture duty.

Although Liv didn't say anything to Josh, she secretly couldn't wait until it was her day to go through all this but it certainly wasn't going to be traditional.

At the reception, they were finding themselves splitting their attention between everybody. Eventually, Alex found herself next to Liv. Her face was flushed with excitement and happiness. "Hey."

After the cutting of the cake and having their first dance, Alex and David found themselves outside getting some well-deserved fresh air. Johnny Eames had been the only one to give a speech, claiming his son-in-law was too shy to speak to everyone. It had earned a chuckle and a half, and a semi-glare from David as a joke ( ... )
