The state of the fannish me

Sep 19, 2011 12:59

Happy Monday, people in LJ-land! I tried to write this post about 23406283 times over the weekend, but it went on too long, and I got tired writing it. I can only imagine how you would have felt reading it. So I shall sum up!

*cheers you on from the even-tho-it's-not-my-fandom sidelines*

Yay, thank you! I am so hoping that eventually you and I will be in the same fandom again! It could totally happen. *nods*

I need to make more room in my head for The Eagle. I also need to read the book again. And stare at Jamie Bell's hipbones for, like, a week.

NNNGGGH, his hipbones. Also his slender and yet muscular arms, and his eyes. Those damn eyes. Yes. You need more of that in your life, I am quite sure. :D

Eyes, arms, general put-together-ness. I am a fan.

Also, he does things for St John Rivers in Jane Eyre that would make even Miss Bronte blush.

Eeew, do not talk about his hipbones like that. ;)

In my head Bell will always be a scrawny, 13 year old boy aspiring to be a ballet dancer. I just can not think of him like that.... :( I guess...

Oh yay! I'm so happy that The Eagle has provided you with renewed fannish joy! Happy that you're enjoying writing again, and happy that Eagle fans get to read and see it!

I know what you mean about just rolling around in the happiness of just writing something you like--I've been feeling the same kind of thing about The Hour. I hope it gets on the Yuletide list!

I'm in same place re: SPN, or a version of it. Since I've totally failed to watch the final two episodes of S6 over the summer, I don't think I'll watch S7--though I do haphazardly read stuff that comes up on my flist, and every once in a while, my own fic takes that direction...

Yay for H50 and Southland and Yuletide!

The Eagle has become such a happy place for me. It's like the first blush of new love: all of the joy, none of the flaws. *g* (Honestly, I wondered if I'd ever enjoy writing again; this has all been a lovely surprise.)

Whee, I'm so happy you have found that, too! And that you are writing! I am going to move THe Hour up on my to-watch list.

I am so glad you are enjoying being fannish again!

I am totally psyched to see the new H50 tonight. :-)

Grad school Year Two (it should have some great comic book subtitle, like Year Two: DOOMSDAY) is on the horizon, so we shall see if this love is sustainable in the face of papers, work, and exhaustion. *g*

H50!! Man, I can't even believe it's time for it to be back. THis summer flew by.
