I'm still waiting to watch the ep, but willing to let myself be spoiled to soften the blow.

they have never before written her as any kind of a bitch

Oh I disagree. Before we met her, she was written with a vindictive streak a mile wide, and one who'd use her child as a pawn in her power games. It was ?ep 3? when Steve got the Gov to step in on Danny's behalf regarding his visitation rights. That, imo, is a bitch.

If I recall correctly, Rachel was concerned that Danny's new job with Five-0 was exposing Grace to danger, and that's why she was having an issue. I have a hard time faulting her for loving her kid and wanting to protect her, even though her methods sucked and she was way off base. Danny was not exactly being a prince of kindness and reasonableness, either, at that point, so. I don't see her as being a bitch. Mileage varies!

Indeed it does :) There was more than just the scene that I referred to which formed my opinion about Rachel before we actually saw her, but that was the one which I can remember most clearly. Only having Danny's side of their phone conversations back then certainly didn't endear her to me.

I want to know where Grace was, during that Rachel-buttoning-up-her-blouse-in-the-morning scene. Or whenever it was. These are not people who are prone to just leave their 9yr old daughter alone with any old person, and they clearly weren't at Rachel's house. So--where was she? Also, GREAT example to set for Grace.

I missed whatever the reason was that Rachel gave Danny for wanting to go back to Jersey--Matthew kept talking. What was it?

they clearly weren't at Rachel's

SOrry for butting in like that, but, weren't they? That would actually make me feel slightly less homicidal ...

Hey, butting in is totally cool :)

And nope, sorry. I just rewatched that scene, and it's definitely Danny's place -- chairs pushed up against the wall, and the hide-a-bed folded out (he has the cushions behind him). :(

This all makes me very sad. And angry with the writers who thought that was a good direction to take things. Grrr.

That almost makes it worse, because: Where was Grace at that time?!
And, d'oh, look at smart-cookie me, you already asked that question. Ahem. I'll back out slowly now.

Yeah, I'm ... befuddled here because the finale just seemed like a mess. And I'm confused by the 11th hour reunion between Danny and Rachel (obviously that being the only reason for his hospitalization story line last week) and the instant knocking-up trope that I LOATHE. Is it not bad enough I have to endure it with Winona and Raylan on Justified?!? *aaarrrggghhhh*

Seriously, what is the point of Danny and Rachel unless Scott Caan is wanting out and only agreed to do one or two episodes to wrap up the story line at the beginning of season two? I don't keep up with the dirt or gossip for this show - have there been hints about Caan wanting out or something? Otherwise, how are they going to clean up this mess?

I just can't get over the sinking feeling that Jenna is there to replace someone. *sigh*

Also, way to waste Jean Smart. Even if no one is leaving the cast, and even if/when Steve and Kono are exonerated, H50 was the Gov's baby - what now?

I have a headache.

*yikes* sounds like I better avoid this ep. I usually let the inconsistencies ride, but sounds like it's going to be hard this time.

Shame...
