Hello!

A girl, around the age of twelve, floats into the mansion wearing an old Victorian nightdress and one ballet slipper. A sponge purse dangles from her left hand [which contains all sorts of odds and ends, including a ghost fish] as her right fiddles with a necklace she wears. The pallor of her 'skin' [scientifically called 'ectoplasm'] indicates ( Read more... )

*curious* There's no owner. It's open to everyone.

Are you dead?

"No owner? That's quite silly, really. I don't understand." She pauses, sniffing lightly.

"Yes. I am dead. I drowned myself if you care to know. But now I am a ghost."

"If there's an owner, we don't know him. Why did you drown yourself?"

She frowns, crossing her arms over her chest. "Is everyone here so nosy?" Addie huffs before continuing, "My parents-- my real parents-- were upset with me so they locked me in a tower next to a lake. And I was so angry at them and myself so I jumped out of the window."

She stops abruptly, then glances around as if to check if anyone she knows is around. Then, she whispers in a hushed voice, "I don't really like my real parents, but I have to spend my weekends with them, you see. They want me to be a proper lady, a de Bones. So they teach me things like posture and which utensil to use first and silly things like that. I much prefer my adopted parents. But don't tell anyone."

*blinks...* You are a ghost, mademoiselle?

"... yes. I am a ghost. Oh, but don't be scared, please! I'm a good ghost, I don't hurt anyone! And I'm a very quiet ghost... why? -- are you the owner?" She stands up and curtsies, just as her real parents instruct her to every weekend.

*and here's a bit of a wry grin* No, mademoiselle, I am not. I am not scared of you, either. *bows* I am Louis de Pointe du Lac.

She sighs with relief and sits back on the couch. "Good. I never know how to deal with people who are frightened of me! There really isn't much to be afraid of, and if anyone thinks I'm scary, they ought to meet my parents! Er, my 'biological' parents, that is. -- and, it's a pleasure to meet you, sir."

*stares at her, squinting, trying to figure out what's odd about her* It's everybody's house, I think.

"Really?" She pauses, frowning. "See, I don't quite understand how such a big mansion can be run by... well, no one." Addie tilts her head and smiles at the younger girl.

"What's your name?"

My name's Francine! And it is, it's everybody's house.

"Hi, Francine. And that's good, I guess, that I'm not intruding on anyone's property. We're not really welcomed in places where people can see us, you know? --... ah. I guess you don't." She smiles a bit and fiddles idly with her sponge purse, which still holds her dead fish...

"Say, Francine? Are there any, you know, animals around here?"

Luna smiles at her. "Hi! I'm Luna. I think this place is owned by a magical genie, who gives us anything we want."

Addie gapes at her, wide-eyed. "Really? Where is he? Have you met him? -- or her?"

He enters the room where she's sitting, but keeps a polite distance. The behavior of the dead here has always fascinated him. In his own world, he's the 'ruler' of the part of the land the Demon Dead inhabit. The completely dead pass back to the Darkness. "If your spirit is so strong, young lady, why didn't you keep your body?" It's very rude for Saetan, but he's mostly seeing how she reacts to the question. The High Lord of Hell is curious.

She frowns at him before answering, quite curtly, "I didn't choose to lose it, either. And it's not like I really had a choice after I was dead. Although, I guess it was my choice to die."

Typist: HAHAHAHA SHE IS COMING FOR YOU. >D!! ... :D ♥ -- she just... fit. XD

"It must be different in your world then. I've seen the few ghosts we have. The demon dead are more common. Do you grieve your loss?"

"You mean to say, am I sad that I'm dead?" Addie thinks for a few moments about the question. "No, I don't think so. If I didn't die, I wouldn't have found the Wilkinsons! Or Oliver! And the Wilkinsons and Oliver are some of the best people you'll ever meet in your whole life-- or the afterlife!"
