He blushes very deep pink. "Twenty-three. --I'm okay, really--"

Her eyes widen some. "Oh...wow." She'll approach incredibly slowly.

Percy beams with relief. It's a maiden! "Oh, hi."

"Hi." She answers back, and if she knew who he was she'd have to squee. She moves to kneel in front of him. "Stuck, I take it?"

"Yeah," he says. "I mean--I don't wanna wake her up. I dunno why she's sitting on me."

and here's a ros -- no sort of maiden, but quite awed, and with eyes wide. "oh ..."

"You can come over," softly. "I mean--if you wanna come and pet her. I bet she'd like it."

"oh -- are you sure?" tentative, "that she'd like it, i mean? i mean, i've never pet anything like her before -- i don't know if i've much experience. i've got a fish ..."

"No, no, it's all right. She liked it when I was petting her. Come over."

*Tess may not be a maiden (it was against her will, but that's never mattered, much) and probably hasn't the faintest idea who unicorns like best, but she is quite in awe, and so she kneels near Percy, barely remembering to be afraid because he is a man, and stretches her hand out as if to touch the creature's mane*

The unicorn blinks softly at her, just woken, and stretches out her nose for Tess to touch.

*She strokes it lightly with her fingertips, a look of awe on her face.* O. What a lovely thing it is!

Percy's mouth, made for smiling, shapes into a new one. "Oh, she likes you." The unicorn, for her part, just lips at Tess' fingers.

The Piglet peers at them from behind a tree, with beady anxious eyes. The unicorn is certainly very lovely, but she is also a Larger Animal, and that horn would go through two or three piglets with distressing ease.

Percy looks back curiously--it's a pig! a little pig! and as long as it doesn't want to add to the pile on his lap, he doesn't object to it at all!.

Piglet scuffs his feet a little in Embarrassment and Anxiety, and puts his nose out a little further. "W-what is it?"

"She's a unicorn," with a shy face, shy because of the slight surprise of finding that the little pig talks.
