Hello. My name is Petunia Dursley. I live in a wonderful home in Surrey with my charming husband Vernon, who works for a company that makes drills, and my precious son Dudley, who is currently attending Smeltings School. Very prestigious, you know. We are proud, upstanding citizens, and do not abide any nonsense, such as... certain types may ( Read more... )

Hmm? Oh. Hello. You're far too tidy for my taste. I do like your son, though. Rather nice job you've done with him. Makes a good mess.

But right. I suppose I should say welcome.

Oh, I do try to get Duddy to pick up after himself, but he's such a busy boy, always out with his friends, that he really doesn't have time for it. He's precious.

He really is a darling. I don't mind that whole not picking up thing. Actually, I'm extremely fond of it. It's nice to see children still know how to wreck things properly.

*looks blankly*

yes... well. I'm sure you weren't referring to me OR my friends when you said... "certain types".

I have nothing to say to you.

Would you rather I send someone else over then? Mad Eye Moody perhaps? Or... Lily?

Yes. Those who do not hold truck with... nonsense.

And a pleasure to meet you, Prince.

Welc - wait a moment. "Right sort"? You mean people such as yourself? If this is what you are talking about, I daresay you may not find a large percentage of the community acceptable.

All I really ask is a bit of... normalcy.

You ask for normalcy, but you're here talking to your dead sister and a Goddess from Greek Mythology. From what I know of the modern world, that isn't normal at all.

Which just goes to show that I very rarely get what I ask.

Hello, Petunia! How nice to see you - it's been a long time. I'm glad that you and your family seem to be doing well.

It was very kind of you to take care of my son for all those years. Now that you're here, we could perhaps exchange a few words about your methods of child care and upbringing.

Oh, and I'm afraid that quite a few people in this community will be 'the wrong sort'.

L-Lily.. aren't you dead?

redgoldlily April 6 2005, 16:59:55 UTC
No.

Well, yes, I am. But that doesn't seem to be a big problem in this place. There are lots of people here who've died.

So. Nice ways of taking care of my son that you've got there.

I fed him and gave him a roof over his head, which is more than I had to do.
