this will all end in tears i know it

Jaime is furious, and his sister is an idiot, but all things considered, he'd rather have it this way than their roles reversed. Which is, as he feels the weight of his golden hand, the first time that's been the truth in a while. Best not to think on that, though. Moving onto more pressing matters ( Read more... )

Here is also someone who is in a quite compromising position. The lovely little brunette is sitting in the main room, writing, if Jaime ever makes his way there.

Her left eye bears a crimson mote, her lips are red, and she looks tired, mildly bruised, and at peace.

Jaime, meet Robb's maternal figure and .... Sandor's .... we're not sure what yet, but it's not *cough* platonic.

Once Jaime finds a couch that isn't on fire, he sits down in it and smacks himself in the face with his hand ow ow ow what.

He was trying to put is head in his hands, but of course, it sucks when you forget one of your hands is made out of solid gold, now.

The string of creative, inventive and some downright artistic profanities that come forth soon after this embarrassing incident make it quite evident he hasn't noticed the other person in the room, or her mote, bruises, or writing.

That certainly gets her attention, and she springs from her seat, almost alarmed, before she settles in the seat closer to him.

"Are you alright, sir?" She speaks gently, kindly. Up close, she looks like no older than in her mid-twenties, though her eyes shine with the dim light of experience, as though she had lived twice as much.

The leaves on her desk are left unattended, for now, they remain undisturbed, though who knows what breeze might yield more mischief ?

Seeing a woman nearby, he tries to hide the fact that this has quickly made him flustered and embarrassed, and forces his nerves to settle. Ah, emotional repression: the sign of a true knight.

"I'm fine, m'Lady, I, ah- that was not..." And he stops himself before he rambles more, putting his head in his hand, sighing.

Richard is a Victorian English gentleman in his mid twenties, and at present, he's obviously looking for something, as he's going through drawers and cabinets. At Jaime's appearance, though, he turns, looks the man up and down, and says, "Hang it all, are people just cropping up like daisies now?"

Welcome!

Jaime, to his questionable credit, seems just as surprised as anyone, and his rubbing the bridge of his nose with his good hand. He answers the Victorian gentleman in question without looking up, but his exasperation is readily evident.

"I hope not; that would be awkward."

Because this totally isn't. Suuure, Jaime.

Hiiiiiii.

"Are you alright, at least?" he asks, a bit more politely.

Jaime has a lot of answers to that. Most of it hinges who's asking, and their definition of 'alright'.

In the end, he decides to be polite, or at least attempt to-- this man certainly seems to be trying. "Alright enough, yes."

Celegorm is watching you, Jaime.

With a bit of interest, but mostly just frowning, looking as serious and happy as he usually does (which is to say, variously, very and not at all). Standing, he might be as much as two heads taller than Jaime, black haired and pointy-eared.

It's the hand, really, that got his attention - making him think of Maitimo, wondering where his eldest brother has gone. Hoping he's all right. Or at least sort of all right. With his family, there is no real 'all right.'

Jaime, on the other hand, continues about his business. Whether or not he's seen the elf watching him is at this point unknown-- if so, he's ignoring him, as he continues his business, which happens to be walking without much purpose to be seen around the perimeter of the lake. If asked, he'd say he was scoping out the land. If asked why, he'd have no real answer for you.

Celegorm watches him for a while longer before straightening and pitching his voice to carry. "Looking for something in particular?"

There's something quietly subdued about him right now, as there has been for a while. Losing your entire life's purpose in the course of five minutes will do that to a person, among other things. If you want to talk about inner conflict!

But.

vzljsfdgsfdgfsdg what.

Okay so obviously Jaime didn't see the elf, if how his head whips around in safsdfsuhprais is any indication. To his credit, though, he covers it up quickly, turning himself amused.

"No." He calls back, "Just skipping stones." Though there are no stones to see, nor a hand to throw them.
