this will all end in tears i know it

Jaime is furious, and his sister is an idiot, but all things considered, he'd rather have it this way than their roles reversed. Which is, as he feels the weight of his golden hand, the first time that's been the truth in a while. Best not to think on that, though. Moving onto more pressing matters ( Read more... )

Celegorm is watching you, Jaime.

With a bit of interest, but mostly just frowning, looking as serious and happy as he usually does (which is to say, variously, very and not at all). Standing, he might be as much as two heads taller than Jaime, black haired and pointy-eared.

It's the hand, really, that got his attention - making him think of Maitimo, wondering where his eldest brother has gone. Hoping he's all right. Or at least sort of all right. With his family, there is no real 'all right.'

Jaime, on the other hand, continues about his business. Whether or not he's seen the elf watching him is at this point unknown-- if so, he's ignoring him, as he continues his business, which happens to be walking without much purpose to be seen around the perimeter of the lake. If asked, he'd say he was scoping out the land. If asked why, he'd have no real answer for you.

Celegorm watches him for a while longer before straightening and pitching his voice to carry. "Looking for something in particular?"

There's something quietly subdued about him right now, as there has been for a while. Losing your entire life's purpose in the course of five minutes will do that to a person, among other things. If you want to talk about inner conflict!

But.

vzljsfdgsfdgfsdg what.

Okay so obviously Jaime didn't see the elf, if how his head whips around in safsdfsuhprais is any indication. To his credit, though, he covers it up quickly, turning himself amused.

"No." He calls back, "Just skipping stones." Though there are no stones to see, nor a hand to throw them.

Tyelko looks amused as well, a bit, and he doesn't really think before saying, "Enjoyable challenge?" Not thinking is something this one is really quite good at.

Jaime's expression doesn't change much, though the smallest fraction of a shrug can be seen when he turns back to the lake, "A challenge, certainly."

Celegorm winces. "My apologies," quickly, and quiet, again, amusement fading. "I didn't mean -" A headshake, his mouth twists, and he amends, "More correctly, I didn't think. Or was thinking of someone else."

And, here, though he can't explain it, Jaime is... amused, almost. Jaime certainly set himself up for that; why is this man apologizing?

He turns back, "You know many one-handed men? I was not aware there was a guild."

"My brother," briefly, coming a bit closer though still keeping a wary distance. "Other than him, no."

Well, there goes the guild idea. Though, it does save Jaime the task of finding left-handed goblets.

Also fgsdfgds this guy is tall. And... odd-looking, almost with an aura around him. Jaime can't quite place it, and tries not to let it unnerve him. Instead, he says, "Then I'll simply have to learn to skip stones with my left. Jaime Lannister." A bow, of sorts.

Very tall, and lean, less bulky than most of the taller people Jaime knows. Tyelko looks a little amused, though, and offers a slight inclination of his head in return. "Tyelkormo Turcafinwe. I wish you the best of luck with that."

Jaime can't decide whether this one is taller than the Mountain or not-- no doubt in part due to his trying never to get too close to Gregor Clegane, and furthermore that this one isn't nearly as insanely bulky and muscled.

He doesn't even try to pronounce the mess that is this guy's name. Just a dip of his chin, and, "I suppose it would be easier if I could find some suitable pebbles." Of which there are none, tch.

Not getting close to Gregor Clegane is a good idea. Always. Tyelko looks slightly amused, and adds, "Tyelko is enough; it's what I go by most often." Other than one of the other three names he has, but wth, no need to get confusing. And that's his favorite.

"I take it you just arrived here, is that correct?"

Jaime coughs, "Tyelko it is, then." And nods, "I did indeed. I don't suppose you'd know anything else about this place, aside from that it's called 'The Mansion' and there are no known methods of easy egress?"

Tyelko considers that. "I would avoid eating food left out if I were you, which you'll have to provide for yourself, it seems, and..." A pause. "If you see a dark haired woman named Melisande, please let me know." A bit of murderous in his eyes there. "Just for the record."

Another pause. "And Morgoth is here," fighting to make his voice as neutral as possible, really, because there are no issues here. "Sometimes."

Jaime nods, taking personal note to avoid all dark haired women named Melisande, if they can incur reactions such as that in such tallscary men. "I will do my best."

At this, Jaime looks slightly puzzled. "Morgoth?" Morgoth who?
