Crackplot!

Jul 05, 2008 20:01

Jaenelle is playing, and Jaenelle playing is always a little dangerous, but that's all right. Because she's having fun! And so, playing with herbs and some magic, she's made a very curious illusion on the front lawn of an elegant garden, very like her own in SaDiablo Hall, water trickling over the rocks. However, a sudden noise startles her and she ( Read more... )

XD Moving them forward or backward in their timeline such as to an extremely traumatic event, like forward a book in a series, or back, or whatever.

Valen is wandering inside to check on Locke when the mist wafts past him.

A very young boy, perhaps seven years old sneaks into the hall. He's curious but wary, confused, a little nervous though he tries to hide it. He moves stiffly, as if most of his body is sore, and tries to remian as quiet as possible. He glances frequently over his shoulder and around the room as if watching out for someone coming, but a speculative look is slowly growing over his face.

Valen is now a little kid, be very afraid.

Locke is still practicing being Locke. He comes strolling down the stares and blinks at the little kid, not really liking the way he's moving, and raises his eyebrows at him slightly. "Hey there. Looking for something?"

He looks a little familiar, but that's ridiculous.

The boy jumps, startled, and whirls to face him, face angry and defensive. "Who're you?"

Locke's eyebrows shoot up and he half grins. "Who, me? Locke Lamora. I'm more curious about you. Who's on your tail?"

A half-grown boy, it looks like at first glance -- but no, he's more like eighteen or twenty, just small and skittish. He looks stunned for a moment; then his chin lifts at a defiant angle.

"Gawain? Where's thou gone now?" The accent, vaguely Scandinavian and vaguely Scottish, is noticeable.

And you thought Mordred was cute annoying as an adult.

With relief, "My lord!"

Sagramore vaguely remembers being here before, so he's not quite as disoriented.

Mordred looks around quickly, and makes a face. "I've told you--"

It's not until evening that Daniel comes to the mansion, in hopes of finding his lover Nicki; going up to a familiar window from the outside he wipes a hand through the filmy haze there on the glass to peer inside, the thought never occurring to him that it's out of place for there to be anything on the window like that.

It's a much younger and very confused mortal Daniel Molloy that backs away a brief moment later, not sure why he's there or where he is.

The youth in question starts and quite literally jumps from his seat on the garden bench; he turns in Marius' direction even as he takes a step back, clearly nervous, though he's trying his best not to show it.

"--- Who are you?"

Laurel remembers. Laurel remembers everything. Which is why she is pale and not quite steady as she sinks down on the Mansions front steps, a hand going to her mouth.

And it's a Sugar and Sophie who happen by.

The little girl pulls Sugar's dress. "Miss Sugar, why is the lady ill?"

And Sugar, not heartless, stops by, and sits, the girl next to her. "Madam, are you alright?"

"I'm... I'm fine." She runs a hand over her hair, lightly, then manages a tight smile. "Thank you."

Evidently not.

"You look ill, Madam." To Sophie, "Go to the kitchen, darling, and bring back water for the lady."

Obediently, the child goes.

"I will stay, until she returns, if you don't mind," she says, concerned.
