Crackplot!

Jul 05, 2008 20:01

Jaenelle is playing, and Jaenelle playing is always a little dangerous, but that's all right. Because she's having fun! And so, playing with herbs and some magic, she's made a very curious illusion on the front lawn of an elegant garden, very like her own in SaDiablo Hall, water trickling over the rocks. However, a sudden noise startles her and she ( Read more... )

Kalush is taking Arianna for a walk when she inhales some of the mist and has a moment of surprise before Arianna's gone and a little girl who looks very like Arianna but with brown hair instead of black, is standing, looking about, and looking extraordinarily worried. She sniffs, a little, and looks on the verge of crying.

"Mama? Papa? Jaenelle?"

And she might just run into a boy, about her age, who is very, very lost.

He pauses.

"Why are you crying?" Like that, blankly.

She sniffs and draws herself up, gathering dignity. Well, sort of. "I'm looking for my family. Where are they?"

It sounds like a demand, because it is one.

He shrugs. "I don't know. I don't even know where I am, so..." a helpless gesture.

But she's pretty and crying, and so he pulls out a dubious handkerchief from his pocket. "For your nose..."

It's not really a big deal - Merlin does this to himself on a regular basis. But it's a bit odd when it's not self-triggered, and... when he can't change himself back !!!

There's 5 years of adorable, pouting in the hall and slobbering blue, smoking a pipe. Oh yes. Kid-Merlin is unpleased.

Jaenelle comes wandering down the hall, frowning a little, and muttering under her breath. Then she notices Merlin and brightens, since she's only a year or so older than him. "Oh - oh, hello!"

"Halo!" He looks up, beams. And a flower sprouts out of his hand, like that.

Her mouth makes a round O of surprise. "How did you do that? I didn't feel anything on the webs at all!"

It was still Cal.

He took a couple steps forward, wearing sunglasses indoors, the leather jacket slung over his shoulder lazily. Dropping the jacket, one hand going lazily to the gun at his waist, he took off the sunglasses and dropped them on the ground, taking a few more steps into the Mansion, nostrils flaring, silver eyes searching corners. His mouth curled in a smile that would have made executioners shiver. His voice drawled out, and that was the worst part, that it was Cal’s voice, if with a sharper edge, a nastier touch than Cal had ever had.

“Well, well, well. This is all very interesting, but I really should be getting back. My employers are going to be pissed if I’m late for our little soirée.”

And he has to come accross Phedre, not kiddified or anything, who smiles.

"Oh, Cal-love, going out?" Sweet, gentle, warm, as usual. She hasn't seen the eyes yet.

Cal turns around and gives her one of those sweet, feral grins. "Among other things, Phedre dear. There's so many amusing things I need to get around to today." His eyes glitter a little.

The ferality of the grin has the effect one might expect on an anguissette. And as it is Cal, it's just /weird/ for her. "Well you're in a grand mood today. What amusing things?"

Concerned and worried. .He is strange.

Martha has been napping somewhere, Leopold her puppy sleeping alongside her, curled into a tiny ball. There is a soft pop and Leopold snaps to attention, rather confused when he sees a child of eight or nine sleeping, rather than his fourteen-year-old mistress. Her braids are tight and she's clad in a plain white nightie. It is a serene sight, except for the dark bruises on her arms.

Bobby is passing by, always close by when Martha is around. If he didn't recognize the puppy and the nightgown, though he wouldn't have recognized the girl.

"Martha?"

Suddenly, there is another soft pop and Bobby transforms into his nine-year-old self.

Martha stirs, rubbing her eyes tiredly. Her face is somewhat damp from crying and she looks confused at the puppy licking her cheek.

"Hi, Bobby," she says shyly, taking in her surroundings with wide eyes. "Where are we?"

Bobby looks around him curiously, not having a clue as to the answer.

"... Outside?"

Leo Borlock has been keeping to himself in recent days, usually in the company of Stargirl. He had been sitting outside and eating a sandwich when there was a peculiar pop! Suddenly, Leo is six and little, wearing his favorite tie of his uncle's, the one with the porcupines on it. He doesn't know why he likes it so, but one can find him stroking the silky material, sitting pretzel style in the grass.

Aww, a little boy. Stargirl sees him while seeking out Leo, but double-takes when she notices him stroking the one-of-a-kind necktie.

"That's a pretty tie," she says, kneeling down next to him. The boy looks so familiar, but -- it couldn't be...could it?

Little Leo blinks, still petting the tie, rather obsessively. He looks up at the girl with wide eyes and smiles shyly. "S'my uncle's tie. He let me wear it," is his reply, holding out an end of the tie to her. "Porcupines."

"Leo?" she prompts, carefully.
