Suddenly there appears in the mansion a handsome, golden-haired young man. Wand already drawn as if he'd been in the middle of a wizarding duel, he is bewildered for a mere few seconds before he lets out a laugh. "What place is this?"

Everything was unfamiliar to his eyes but he is up for any unique new experience so with a bright grin he starts ( Read more... )

Richard, having been murdered with a wand once before, might be forgiven if he jumps out of his skin when Grindelwald appears. He drops the book he had been reading, and is halfway to standing up when this thoughts catch up with his adrenaline.

Gellert turns his eyes to Richard and gives him a charming smile. "Why, hello there." He speaks with some kind of European accent but his English is clear.

He swallows. "Good day. Forgive my - I'm afraid you rather startled me."

"Oh, I apologize for that, sir," his words are polite but he's scrutinizing the man before him very intently. He slips away his wand. At the very least he doesn't think Richard is any threat. "Can you tell me how and why I am here?"

Albus the younger watches, judging, for a moment before approaching the older boy*.

"It's the mansion, where're you from?"

*Ty: How old is he exactly?

"The mansion? Which mansion is that?" He doesn't answer the latter question.

Typist: Late teens at the moment.

A shrug, "The mansion that everyone gets to by accident and can't leave." He eyes the wand, "You from Hogwarts?"

"No. I used to go to Durmstrang."

Armand, even though he's decently protected with the rings he was gifted, is still cautious around wizards, especially new ones. But he hates to see newcomers go ungreeted in this confusing place. "Bonjour, M. Wizard." The wand makes him fairly certain of his guess. "We call it the Mansion. Would you care to put your wand away? You're under no threat here."

He's been sitting by the fire, and at this angle, Armand's body is partially shielded by the chair itself, though he's turned his head to face the new wizard.

"Do I look concerned about threats, sir?" Gellert gives Armand a grin.

As long as the wand stays out, Armand stays in the chair. "It is my opinion that man holding a weapon is either concerned about such things or willing to be a threat himself. I'm no danger to you, and I refuse to be bullied."

He laughs heartily at that. "Bullied? My dear sir that was not my intention... I was in the middle of... an altercation... when I suddenly found myself here. It is not aimed at you. See? It is gone," he slips the wand away.

Freyja laughs. "Oooh! Aren't you the pretty, little, golden boy!"

Gellert laughs once more. "Are you flirting with me, ma'am?"

"Oh, no." She giggles. "I know when a target's too far out of range. I can get what I want, when I want it and don't waste my time. In your case, I just like looking at pretty things."

Lucivar stops in a moment as Gellert appears and very nearly calls in his knife, but instead just brings in his jewels and sets his feet so that he can move fast if necessary. He doesn't trust anyone with a wand, not for any particular reason. "Put that away," he snaps, his voice a slight rumble.

There's a casual cockiness to his grin as he replies. "Why should I obey you so readily?"

Lucivar's eyes get noticeably chillier and a slight shimmer of the air around him shows the emergence of a shield. "So I don't splatter you across the walls."

"Threatening your guests, are you?" He holds his wand firmer and ready but doesn't attack.
