Suddenly there appears in the mansion a handsome, golden-haired young man. Wand already drawn as if he'd been in the middle of a wizarding duel, he is bewildered for a mere few seconds before he lets out a laugh. "What place is this?"

Everything was unfamiliar to his eyes but he is up for any unique new experience so with a bright grin he starts

Jaenelle pokes her head in, and the rest of her follows pretty quickly. She examines Gellert with a slight smile and then calls out, "Hello, sir, and welcome."

"Greetings, ma'am," he says pleasantly back to her.

She frowns slightly at the 'ma'am,' but then gives him a curious look. "I suppose you'll be wondering where you are?"

"Is this your house?"

*Ariana vaguely recognizes Grindelwald as that boy who Albus is always bringing to the house, so she gives him a shaky smile* Gellert?

[ggrindelwald]

He does a double-take upon seeing her. "Ariana.. You're-- you're looking well!" He just stops himself from saying she is alive. This place certainly is peculiar.

His smile had faltered a little but now it springs back with full force.

*Her smile widens a little* Thank you. *a pause, briefly* Albus and Aberforth are here too, but they're...very old. *her brow furrows - this is confusing to explain*

He's heard about Albus being older so this doesn't surprise him. Instead, he goes to take both her hands and seem to be looking on the bright side of things. "But you're not! It is delightful to see you again and looking so healthy too."

He's pleased to see her alive. He thinks maybe that could somehow change things.

*As we all know, Esmeralda has a weakness for handsome, blond haired men, so she blushes a little when she sees Grinelwald* It's called the Mansion, monsieur.

"Mansion? Whose mansion is it?" His eyes rove over her attentively.

[gypsysorceress]

*Esmeralda gives a casual shrug, the coins wound in her dark hair jangling slightly as she does so* No one quite knows. All sorts of people - people from all over the world - live here, and no one ever seems to mind.

[ggrindelwald]

"Where are you from? You're very... exotic."

[hourglasspriest]

Saetan rises from his comfortable position on a nearby couch. He calls in his Black Jewels and faces the newcomer calmly. "Another lost traveller, I see," he says in his deep voice. "It's a Mansion where any can stay."

[ggrindelwald]

"Quite a friendly place too. With some exceptions," Gellert grins and half-bows. "I am Gellert Grindelwald."

[hourglasspriest]

"Exceptions? I suppose there are." The dark-haired man nods his head. "I'm Saean SaDiablo."

[ggrindelwald]

"One man did threaten to splatter me across the walls as a greeting," he says with a laugh.

A large cream and orange cat appears right at the wizard's feet. It could have just darted out from the shadows, but if he'd been watching closely, he could also be fairly sure it hadn't. For one, the cat is sitting very still gazing up at his face with oddly intelligent blue eyes.

He looks down, still smiling but being cautious. "Why, hello there..."

Altra yowls briefly like an ordinary cat and circles him, inspecting him from all sides with his intense blue gaze.

"Do I know you?" He wonders aloud.
