Though he has cleaned up the blood, Richard is still not wearing a jacket, sleeves rolled up to the elbows. He looks pale, tired, and a bit haunted. He's looking for Curio, Ganymede, and/or Tom, roughly in that order, but is free to be accosted by anyone else who should come across him. He's had a long night.

Ganymede is in his room still, should Richard come looking that far.

He will, eventually, remembering his promise, though it has been many hours, now. He knocks softly.

"Ay?" he calls.

[jarndyceheir]

"It's just Richard Carstone. I wanted to check and see how you felt."

Ada probably ranks very low on the list of people Richard wants to see right now, so it is his luck that though she passes, it as at the far end of the hall, and she does not notice him at first.

Actually, in an odd way, he is very glad to see her indeed, as she is at least one person who he knows won't hate him now. After a moment, he moves to catch up with her.

"Richard!" She brightens to see him, but it turns just as quickly to a worried frown. "You do not look well."

"Forgive me. It's been..." He stops, considering what to say. "It's been a rather long several hours."

*Mina doesn't know him, but she's very emphatic when it comes to people who look haunted. She nearly bumps into him in the hallway* Oh, I'm so sorry.

"Oh, forgive me. I should have watched more carefully."

No, it's my fault, really. *smiles* I don't believe I've met you before.

[jarndyceheir]

"Richard Carstone, madam."

*should there be anything else for Curio to do or anyone to whom he needs to speak, he can be found in his room and please, forget that Curio has been MIA for ages.*

*would totally claim to forget, except for rather missing him*

Along with Tom, Curio is the other person Richard knows will want to know about Molly's welfare, and so (despite the fact Curio may or may not still be mad at him) Richard knocks softly on his door.

*after a moment--it's late, if the typist recalls correctly, and if the typist recalls incorrectly, there can be nappage--Curio will emerge, bleary-eyed and clad only in a nightshirt. although at first he is a little peeved to see Richard, he quickly recognizes the concern on his face* What draws you to my door so monstrous grieved? Hath some unwonted fate befallen you?

He shakes his head, and says very quietly, "For once, no. I'm sorry to wake you."

Tom is walking back to his room when he comes across Richard, only noticing him at the last moment when it is too late to get away without being noticed. It doesn't stop him from trying.

"Tom - wait. I need to... it's Molly." And, as always, being in Tom's presence has accentuated Richard's propensity to make a mess of things.

"What do you mean?"

[jarndyceheir]

"I thought you should know. She..." He chokes a bit, but manages to get out, "she had her child."
