...well, not quite. But almost.

She's definitely wolflike, and stalking in from a frustrated chase, she definitely doesn't look very happy, muttering to herself and snarling periodically.

Edward raised an eyebrow. He knew -- or at least liked to think he knew -- everyone in Forks, and he'd never seen this woman before. "Where are you going?"

She whirls around and stares at him, annoyed at herself for not noticing him. It's that same odd smell again! The one the other man had. It's so curious. But he's certainly human in appearance, at least...

"Nowhere," she says, a bit shortly because she's puzzled. "What are you, anyway?"

He bristled a little at the question, "'What' am I? I beg your pardon?" All the same, he was curious as to who this 'other man' was that the young woman was thinking about. Were there more like him here?

Well, for Remus, the name 'Bella' is a very unpleasant auto-association with the person who killed his wife. So if he's a little cold, that's why. "She's probably not here," he says, softly.

Oh God, not more of them. How many wolves were there in this place? Edward curled his lip a little and stepped back, "I'm noticing that, yes. ... do you know her?"

"That depends on what her name is," very drily. "I do know a Bella." He can't help but bristle a bit at the lipcurl. "Is something wrong?"

"Isabella -- I don't think you know her, no." Edward remained tense, on edge, ready to pounce, "Nothing wrong, no."

Oh, here we go. Another new person. "I think you've gone a bit off course."

"I think I may have, as well. Could you point me back towards Forks?"

"I'm afraid not. One, I have no idea where it is. Two, it's a bit tricky to get away from here."

"... that's worrying. What do you mean 'get away from here', exactly?"

Edward tensed considerably for a moment, then relaxed when he realized that this man was thinking of someone else entirely, "No -- quite a different Bella, I should think. Isabella Swan?"

"Oh. Haven't heard of her." Not that he cares.

"I didn't think so. Where is this, exactly?"

Edward is talking to someone who is Mabon's, which is reason enough for Mabon to follow him--and though his thoughts may be heard, they're along the lines of should catch that mouse maybe not let it be hungry though later smell there's a smell i don't know it look in a minute blood BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD later later what is he it no he don't touch wolf follow him oh wingflutter! mmm mouse, so, you know.

The constant thought of blood was making Edward hungrier than he already was and he has the strong desire to tell this new person to try be a little more quiet. "Hello -- can I help you?"

It's not so much a constant thought as a taking note, this being Mabon and his train of thought not being necessarily consistent. He lifts his head and regards Edward with very animal eyes. "Help?"

The look in Mabon's eyes made Edward a little nervous, but he kept his composure. "Are you looking for something?"
