Hello, Gyuri--have a devout pagan with limited world experience. She will smile, and give him a little bow. "Please, sir ... what is a Jew?"

He just stares at her for a long moment before erupting into harsh, coughing laughter.

He looks at her, a little surprised that she isn't wearing a star. "Do you know Hebrew? Or Yiddish?"

Here, have a pagan god.

"I do not know of Jews, but I can speak of religion, what would you know?"

"I was wondering why God never does anything. Why He lets the innocent suffer and die." Gyuri looks like he might have been innocent once but it was a long time ago.

He tilts his head curiously, "Of which god do you speak? There are many of us.."

"God. The one and only. It isn't as though there are multiples."

Karal is a priest, physically blind, but he looks in Gyuri's direction with a quiet smile.

"I am not Jewish, but maybe I can help?"

"Do you know why he lets things happen? Terrible things?"

"If your god is anything like mine, then I believe it is because he wants us to live our lives for ourselves.

"He gave us life, yes, but he also gave us free will, and to live our lives for us would be denying us that."

"But He didn't so anything to stop others from taking away our free will. He didn't do anything to stop us from dying."
