What has he got in his pocket? (An introduction)

A hobbit has appeared quite literally out of thin air in the main room of the mansion. Bilbo hadn't meant to arrive here. He was taking a leisurely walk, with his ring in his pocket and Sting on his belt for old time's sake, when he had seen Lobelia coming down the path. With his usual good timing he put on his ring and dove under a hedgerow.

Bilbo can have an Elda, then, whose brother was indirectly avenged by Bilbo's cousin and heir, which is fairly solid so far as completely tenuous connections go. He's also irredeemably cheerful. "What's bothersome?"

T: Eeee, a Bilbo!! You are great, whoever you are. :D Let's just, er, not let Sauron at his bling? Would be Bad.

"This isn't where I was and I'm not certain it's where I'm meant to be."

Typist: Tom Jones typist! *waves* This is what happens when I find the animated movie on youtube. Hmm... Sauron can probably sense it though, can't he?

"Most here can say that, I'm afraid. Where have you come from?"

T: Aha! Loki, Elves et al. typist here, which you probably knew. :D And yes, he could, although he is currently on one of his long periods of being stuffed inna box. Shall have to dig him out, but I am scared of him.

"The Shire." Noticing the elf-yness. "Eriador."

Typist: Bilbo would be all "WTF? My shiny, completely harmless ring. And this is not the Baggins you were looking for..."

Here, have the aformentioned brother-who-was-indirectly-avenged. For the sake of everyone's sanity, he doesn't realize that Bilbo happens to have a Ring full of Sauron's power in his pocket for the moment. He gives Bilbo a friendly smile. "Most people think that at first. Welcome, Master Hobbit."

Mun: Eee, Bilbo! :D And I have to agree, Sauron must not know about the bling! XD ...right away, anyhow. Sauron finding out that The Ring Is Here could be most interesting...err... >_>;

(It's probably for the best that he doesn't notice the pocket full of evil.) Bilbo bows. "Thank you, my lord elf."

Typist: I totally agree with all points.

(Probably, as he'd most likely freak out. He predates the rings but he's heard of them. That, and just that it's Sauron.) "Please, call me Finrod."

"Bilbo Baggins at your service."

Frodo hasn't seen Bilbo looking that young in... well, ever. Because he hadn't been born yet.

He blinks. "Uncle Bilbo?"

[ringwinner]

(And this Bilbo is even younger than Frodo!) Bilbo pauses for a moment because Frodo looks vaguely familiar. "Do I know you?"

That has to be extremely weird. "I'm... Frodo. Your nephew."

Bilbo goes through his numerous relations. "I can't say that I remember you."

Here, Bilbo, have a mildly befuddled Brandybuck (though really, he's befuddled quite a lot) giving Bilbo a curious look.

"Well! Another hobbit, excellent!"

[ringwinner]

And this random hobbit looks oddly familiar too. "Hello! Bilbo Baggins at your service."

This? This is Merry doing a bit of a doubletake. "Bilbo? You look ....different."

"Oh dear. Are you from the future too?"

And because he can't meet only other Tolkien-ites, have a Molly. Having never seen a hobbit before, she jumps to quite the wrong conclusion upon first seeing him and not looking very closely. "Hello there, little boy. Are you lost?

"Yes to the second but no to the first. I'm not a child."

"Oh. Oh" she says again, interested, as she looks a bit closer. "Sorry. Are you... do most people look like you, where you come from?"

"Just hobbits like me. We have Big Folk too."
