Chrystos Voskrese!

It is finally Easter and Helen's weeks of preparations have paid off. The kitchen is filled with food for anyone who wants it and Helen is walking around the mansion delivering eggs. Everyone she meets is greeted with a happy "Chrystos Voskrese!" It means "Christ is risen!" in Ukrainian and she isn't expecting anyone to know to say "Voistinnu

Rosalind (that is, Ganymede, of course) greets Helen brightly when she comes across her. "How art thou, my friend?"

"Chrystos Voskrese! Christ is risen!" She says with a smile and gives Rosalind her egg. "I am well."

[dukes_daughter]

"'tis for me?" she asks, taking the egg carefully.

[border_princess]

"Yes. It is for Easter." She still pronounces the new word a little clumsily. "Do you like it?"

[mad_leprechaun]

"Hey there, Vasil," Sweeney said with a grin when he saw her, again forgetting all about the date. "What's up?"

[border_princess]

"Chrystos Voskrese! Christ is risen!" She gave him his egg and smiled. "This is for you."

[mad_leprechaun]

"Er... Thanks." Most people would get a talking to for greeting the leprechaun with that, but she's smiling and giving him stuff. It's pretty impressive stuff he's getting, too. "Sweet, man."

"I have one for Jackrabbit as well, but I have not seen him."

She bounds up and gives him his egg. "Chrystos Voskrese!" After a moment she notices how he looks. "Are you all right?"

*a wide smile--even if it's tired-looking* I'm well. Ay ... well-a-day, methinks it were a weary Easter eve for all within the manse's confines, and I am but one--

"Oh. You've heard about the dead."

[prince_des_mers]

Princes do not squee. Ever. But he does look at his egg with a great grave pleasure, and may even smile at her. "Thank you."

[border_princess]

"You are welcome. I was going to make it a tiger, but I did fish instead for some reason."

[prince_des_mers]

"I have a fish," he says, holding out his necklace, and after a pause he takes it off and hands it to her.

[border_princess]

She takes it and looks at it. "It is a very nice fish," she says before giving it back.

[three_smiles]

"Naverno voskrese, gospodah," says Michael. His arms are quite full of something wrapt up in his leather apron, and he looks at her with a quiet gladness in the familiarity of her actions.

[border_princess]

"Here," she says and hands him his egg with a smile, "This is for you."

[three_smiles]

He manages to take it in one hand, and offers her the bundle of his apron. "I have made a gift for you."

"For me?" She sounds surprised, but begins to unwrap the bundle.
