Aziraphale doesn't quite qualify as a 'good friend of one called Padfoot,' or, indeed, any degree of friend of his, but still, out of curiosity (and because it's always best to keep up to date, around here - what if the note warned that walking through the door just beyond it would turn one into a cabbage, or something? Forewarned is forearmed, was Aziraphale's motto, especially in this place) he stops and reads it. After a moment's perusal, he gives a small sigh and a disapproving shake of the head; but, after all, "He'll be back to life in a day or so, doubtless just in time to be killed again." --and he continues on his way.
