Approaching him from behind, she looks over his shoulder, missing his frustrated expression. "Is that for my birthday?" she asks in a light, teasing tone.

He turns, holds it up. "Its for Mad sweeney."

-Now- she sees his face, and frowns. "What's happened now?"

"Nothing," he shrugged. "Mebbe you're right. Mebbe I'm not meant to mother."

Denis wanders in easily and sees him, coming across with a smile. "Bonjour, monsieur... Are you well?"

"Ah? Hello little Denis," he smiled slightly. "I...am well, yes, only a little frustrated."

"Oui? Why is that?" He sits by him and looks at what he's doing curiously.

"I....want to mother, but I have no one that will comp with me," he sighed.

"Well, you're being awfully domestic there, golden. Getting ready for the new arrival?"

As far as Sweeney knows, the motherhood thing is still on.

"Its for you," he shrugs, "Though it isn't working. There will be no arrival as I cannot find a com. Lestat cannot do it."

"What? Tell me what's happened."

He goes over to Jackrabbit and squats next to his chair, putting his hands on Jackrabbit's knees to balance. It had taken him a while to come around, but he'd been getting into the idea. Especially seeing Jackrabbit so excited about it.

"Person's pillowfriend thought it was a bad idea," he shrugged. "Is well enough. Its good that they know that now, and..." his eyes shimmer a little. "So, I spose mebbe Im not meant to. I left Mattapoisett before I could, perhaps that is why."

From across the room she sees his frustration, and despite not knowing Jackrabbit, feels compelled to speak to him.

"It can't be that bad" she says.

He looks up at her, chewing hard at his lip. He forces a smile.

"Ah...no, spose not."

She sees him and goes up to him, giving his shoulders a light squeeze.

"What's wrong Bunny? Still the baby thing?"

Jackrabbit smiled at her, shrugging. "Thngs arent going as planned."

She gives him a friendly smile.

"Tell me about it?"

Jackrabbit frowned.

He wasnt sure what to say.

He held up the flimsy/shirt he was making for Sweeney. "This is for Mad Sweeney. Will person like it?"
