"I could ask you," Enjolras says, with a small twitch of his mouth that is the embryonic stages of an embarrassingly lopsided smile, "But I know better. I've been about."

"We've missed you." And Bossuet will now be grabbing him and hugging him, regardless of whether or not it is just plain strange to grab and hug Enjolras. Bossuet has never claimed sanity, after all.

Enjolras goes very still and stiff because yes, indeed, he was not in the slightest expecting that, and he does have his dignity, after all - !

Here, then, is Grantaire, leaning against the doorway with something like a lopsided grin on his face. "Well, well. It's the firebrand."

"Hello," Enjolras says, and dying seems very clear, very recent, so it is a warm word, something for someone who is something of a comrade, possibly a friend.

He notes that, of course, and the grin turns into a slightly shy smile. "Where've you been? It's been ages."

"Has it?" Enjolras asks, and then adds, after a small pause to consider, "Well, you always say that."

Feuilly pauses in the doorway, and blinks. He doesn't smile, but his eyes brighten. "Afternoon yourself."

Enjolras studies Feuilly for a moment in a friendly sort of way.

"You're well," he says eventually, satisfied.

And here is a Cosette, greeting him with a curtsey and a polite smile. "Monsieur, hello."

"Mam’selle," he says politely, with a (possibly slightly wary?) nod.

"Monsieur... Enjolras, is it not?" She smiles again. "I have heard so very much about you."

"It is, thank you," he says, and looks at her, almost frowning in concentration.

"I'm sorry. I don't recognize you."

"Good afternoon, Enjolras." Marius smiles. "It is good to see you."

"Marius." A nod.

And then, because Marius is the sort of person with which it is effective, "Doing well?"

It's especially effective if you want to hear a fifteen minute discussion of Cosette, but we'll mercifully skip that part -- because it's Enjolras, and Marius knows better by now.

"Quite well, yes!" He beams. "Married, in fact. I think you met Cosette earlier?"

"Good," Enjolras says, with a nod.

"I did, yes," a brief pause, "She seems very happy."
