A full week in Kyoto
Many things have happened in this last week. I'm not one of the people who posts with photos everyday. I post updates as I feel I have a break in which to adequately organize my thoughts. What I've done so far in Japan
On Saturday at the hotel, I had the smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel room. I think that it is even smaller than all of the apartment bathrooms I've seen.

Safely at Daishin-in
It is now Monday and I'm safely ensconced in Daishin-in. It is a beautiful temple in the middle of the Myoshinji temple complex. It was relatively easy to get from the hotel in near Kansai airport all the way here to Daishin-in. Since I only took the rapid and the local trains not the express I only paid 1770 yen for the entire trip. I arrived ( Read more... ) -
I'm in Japan
I'm very glad that I'm here but am also in post travel funk. I chose a hotel this first night because it had a shuttle from the airport and another to the train station so I can get to Kyoto tomorrow. New House!!
Well, the boxes are all repacked and successfully moved to the new house. Now I have not quite another three years to get this place just how I like it before we sell. As for school, it continues along at a fast clip. My final review for this first true design studio is the 1st of December. However, with Thanksgiving in the way, I really need ( Read more... ) -
Update on my life
I'm now in my second week of my graduate school career. In another three years I'll have an MLA from a really great program. At the moment, my time is spent in a studio that is very artsy, but I know that this is what I need to work on in order to improve my designing and to improve my future in landscape architecture ( Read more... ) -
