Yes, I do have final portfolios and essays due. And yes, it appropriately sucks. Luckily (hahaha) I'm so high-strung that I pull jittery all-nighters regardless of my homework. I won this poetry prize thing and it has a nifty certificate and a cash prize and everyone clapped and then I lost the certificate and I called the library's lost and found and I got it back and the check is in the mail and it was cool.

On the way home, I picked up a tent caterpillar and helped it find a nice fruit tree to gnaw on.

April 20, 1999. Stories about sullen boys, the kind I accidentally love, who shoot up the school. Folks flinging blame left and right trying to make sense of it.
