France v. Uruguay

I don't have much to say about this game. It was pretty boring, and I spaced out on many occasions during the match. Though I had expected it though since I bet with my family that they would draw. Group A is completed and each team gets one point, which means this group is still wide open.

I have to credit the Uruguay defense for holding up

If, and I do mean, if the rumors about the France team not getting along so well, I'm not surprised Gourcuff or that Govou missed. Everyone wanted Thierry in from the beginning.

" I feel asleep to this game." haha! Usually I always pay good attention to the match, but during this game I kept playing on my computer without meaning to.

The rumors are probably true.. I love Gourcuff, but he wasn't having the best game. Maybe Henry can do better when he's with France, i dont know, but I think he's too old and slow.

I rushed home from work just in time to see the game from the beginning. But I missed the Mexico game earlier, however I can watch a re-run later. I mostly have to agree with you. I was rooting for Uruguay but was ashamed of myself for knowing the names of ALL the French players, but only about half of the Uru ones!

Forlan was impressive but so was Muslera, IMO. He stopped at least two hard shots that would have gone in. And when Sebastian Abreu came on I was impressed by his leadership and how he won the ball on a few occasions. He's tall and seems to win every header that comes his way. I wish Uruguay wouldn't be so defensive but I guess they had to be for the last part of the game anyway. Their defenders are good too, I thought, and I'm relieved they came out of it with a point.

Very funny remark by the commentator! LOL.

I'm the same, I knew more French players than I did Uruguay.. actually I was only familiar with Forlan... haha... and I heard of Godin lol.. so maybe that's why only Forlan stood out for me since I don't know the other players to remember what they did.
