I got my dissertation results today and I got a 72. This means that my grade average is now 69.94% and the boundary for a distinction is 70%. And I don't know whether they'll round up or down! If they round up I'm fine, but if they round down that means I've missed out on a distinction by 0.06%. How frickin' annoying would that be ( Read more... )

Keele is a tiny village that's completely swallowed by the university where I did my first degree. In the last census it had a population of about 4,000, most of whom were university students living in halls. During the holidays the population is less than 500. It's tiny. I had a really good meeting with my dissertation supervisor today, and on the strength of that I've decided to shift the focus of my study somewhat. United lost the FA Cup to Chelski yesterday, Doctor Who was utterly blah, poor Daniel got booted off Any Dream Will Do and now I have to spend all of today working on an essay.

And I'm desperately trying to eat healthily so I'm trying to stay off chocolate, and today is most definitely a chocolate day if ever there was one. *cries*
