The weird thing is I am used to it. I mean, I regularly walk 10 miles a day, and I run two or three times a week. But I guess not both on the same day, and my walking is usually spread across a whole day, rather than in an intensive session. Or maybe it was the pace of keeping up with my brother!

Was any of it uphill/downhill? Doing a lot on an incline changes how your muscles work too. Like if your normal route is a more even plane, even small hills can leave you sore. This has happened to me a couple times because I NEVER THINK. Even though I know.

The walk was up and down a few hills, yeah. The run was on the treadmill, which probably didn't help, when combined with a long walk on pavement.
