I went for a run Saturday and Sunday mornings, about 3.5 miles each time, a mixture of running and walking. Then I visited my brother in Leicester on Sunday and we walked from his flat to and from town, which was probably another 8 or so miles. And my brother is a fast walker and I probably have to do 1.5 paces for every one of his. I was definitely flagging by the last two miles or so.
And now I have a bruise forming on my left leg and it's swollen and painful. I think it's a shin splint? I didn't even know you could bruise just over-exercising - I thought that was only from knocking or banging yourself. I guess you learn something new every day.
Also, oww.
