A few weeks ago I purchased a pedometer on woot, and started to use it religiously, tracking number of my steps in excel every day. Yesterday was my new anti-record: 856 steps. I'm not sure if I can beat that (unless, of course I break my leg).
To compare: my average number of steps is 8K/day.

First things first. I really enjoyed all solutions people posted (including anonymous critique), and I really liked an approximate one (by rezkiy) which I haven't came up with myself. With high probability correct answer is ( 2287 )

Pretty regular run. The time is worse than on Monday (by whole 15 seconds!) which translates in almost 2 minutes marathon time difference. So I didn't break my record average speed.
