--I had to call roadside a-freakin-ssistance tonight because my car battery wanted to stay in bed. Now, granted I had let the car sit for a little while, but not long enough that I thought it wouldn't start again. I turned off the engine at maybe...oh crap I didn't take my car to the gaming group. Old cars can be a pain, one thing I found that helps is after an incident like this, is picking up a replacement battery. They're not massively expensive ($40-$60??) and on *most* models of car they're pretty straight-forward to swap over (once you get over the fear of electrocuting yourself)

Failing that, librally spraying WD40 around the spark plugs and battery terminals helps boost conductivity and keeps water out of the electrics which tends to be one of the big reasons that they like to play up in the winter.

My car isn't old. It's a 2002. And the battery is practically brand new considering it was sitting in a dealer lot in Maryland for a good three years. No, I was just being a dumbass and forgetting to start my car occasionally.

Most car batteries dislike -5F temperatures, anyway. How was gaming? My dad wouldn't let me borrow his car. I just dropped mine off to get fixed.

It was better than last time. No one brought their consoles so people were pretty much forced to either play board games or sit and stare off into space. I wish there was a no kids rule, or at least a "You bring them to the space, but it's mostly college kids and older, so it's your fault if they hear foul language, etc." Freakin' kids. The Saturday sessions are only once a month right?
