Glad you liked! There were a lot of moments that perhaps needed better writing and more focus... one of them being Peter's visit to the past... but I suppose it was good enough.
It was sad, indeed, that Peter had to fail. And to add to the irony of it all, it was indeed him who ruined it; not the future but the past. I'm pretty sure that when Peter said "I love you" to Nathan one last time, the man didn't quite appreciate it...
Once again, thank you for reading and dropping me a comment!
Beautiful sequel to “Deep Sleep" which I loved so. First of all, I was honestly glad to see that Peter had somewhat got over his depression and mind-numbing desperation at last. I was relieved to see that he had a bit regained his spirit, and found some motivation to carry on in this apocalyptic world. Regarding his failure to fix the tragic past, I am really sorry for him lamenting his brother's death. I am sad, too
( ... )
Indeed, there was still a lot for Peter to feel depressed and sad about... but I guess there's a limit how much one can do that. Things are as they are, he couldn't change it, and thus he had the option to make the best of it - or keep falling further into depression, which really didn't work.
He and Sylar are also on their own, in a way. All the other people were like from a different world entirely. Eventually the animosity is bound to give way to something else. What exactly, it will be seen in the final part of this series, "Shattered Eden".
Oh. That was absolutely wonderful. I love the other stories, I love the way you portray Peter and Sylar and how here, you have Peter and Sylar teaming up. A lot of people have Sylar and Peter teaming up but I haven't seen it nearly as well-written as the way you do it. And poor Peter, all those people trying to kill them even though he's trying so hard to reach some sort of peace, it's just like Peter. Sylar understands the hopelessness of it all and plans for survival. Absolutely wonderful.
*smiles* I'm happy to hear you liked this as a continuation to the other fics.
Indeed, Peter and Sylar are either sworn enemies or allies. It's hard to find middle ground between the two :P *feels honored* I'm glad you liked the way I write the characters! I try to stay honest to how I see them portrayed in the show. (Well, the way they're meant to be, anyway; the Heroes writers have been doing so much wrong to their characters during these past few seasons, on and off...)
Indeed, Peter being Peter is just trying to get everyone out of the conflict alive, and Sylar has to be the one to find a solution because Peter's never been really good with those. He does try, but... *pets poor Peter*
Awesome story! I came into Heroes fandom late, only after my beloved Stargate Atlantis was canceled and the fanfic there slowed down. There are so many talented writers in Heroes fandom and please, please consider yourself one of them.
Peter is my favorite character. In all of your stories, I love how you write him: emotionally scarred & conflicted, but still strong and determined to do the right thing. His relationship with Sylar makes so much sense, especially since it's canon that they're different sides of the same coin.
Thanks for participating in the Big Boom and I can't wait to read more!
I'm a bit of a late bloomer myself: I got into watching the show when season 1 had already ended and the show was on a summer break, and I got into writing fics in... 2008. Late last year, anyway.
I myself adore Peter (easy to tell, I know), and even when the show itself makes him a little OOC from time to time, I try to find some reason in his actions :P There are a lot of ways to write him (innocent and pure, giving and optimistic, and then the scarred, conflicted, darker version). He is such a perfect character to have your way with, so to speak :D
I'm glad you found that the relationship with Sylar moved smoothly in this fic. That was what I aimed for.
Thank you for reading and commenting! ♥ *feels honored*
