One of my best friends is forcing me to go to the premiere of the Twilight movie with her. She has only secured my grudging agreement by holding her recently-discovered knowledge of my participation in SPN fandom over my head. (She doesn't know about LJ or slash, but she's one of four people who knows I blog. About my twenty-something, demon- ( Read more... )

I feel that surely, reading the book will only make it worse. :( I'm sure I'll get dragged to see it at some point, but hopefully when the hordes of fangirls have died down at least a bit...

In the theater, it will be me, my friend, and 120 thirteen year olds. GOOD TIMES!

(It's scary to think how much better an age ratio I get at the HP premieres. Heh. Gotta love muscling out the preteens.)

Just wait until all the sparkly vampires show up and the thirteen year olds start squealing.

The movie appears to be pretty faithful to the book, so, really, probably not a lot of foreknowledge is required. Besides, there's not really a lot of foreknowledge to have. Like rionaleonhart said: Edward Cullen is hot and a creepy-ass stalker. That is all.

Hmmmm. I'm torn on that. I usually find books to be better than the movie adaptation (although in the case of Twilight, that's a scary concept!), so I like to read the book first. For example, I can't imagine watching the LoTR without reading the books first, although of course thousands of people did and enjoyed the films so... who knows!?

You poor dear :D

Don't suffer through the books. You may be ill. o_O

All you have to know is that Edward is a sparkly abusive stalker and Bella is a whiny brat. And all is love!

I plan on treating myself to a HUGE bucket of popcorn as a reward for suffering through it.

The earnest young vampire/human love! IT BURNS!
