Currently taking a course in anatomy & physiology, which is one of the coolest courses I've ever taken and which I'm both enjoying immensely and excelling at, today we were discussing osseous tissue. Today I ordered Bernard McGinn's Essential Writings of Christian Mysticism. McGinn is probably the preeminent historian of Christian mysticism in the West, and so his anthology of the subject seems a good jumping point to escape the confines of academic theology to which I've focused my attention for at least the last five years.
