What's in a label?

Last week we received a phone call from relatives down country. After chatting briefly (Sparky and Firecracker were over), I passed the phone on to my brother.

As short while later, bigtaz came back into the house, sounding disbelieving and more than a little pissed off. Apparently, said relative had asked a question about "Deb's 'friend', Ben." ( Read more... )

*grin* 'Hello, friend!' is siblings (current) favourite greeting! I think amused is a good way to take the situation. I find that if someone is calling my boy 'friend' its usually under the 'are they still together? I'm not sure' circumstances . . . except that you guys are married! Well, 'civil union-ed', which is really the same thing in my mind, or close enough to the same thing. . .

Well, I think its awesome that you guys were amused and only a little bit peeved. Go you guys :)
