Me too. So much to love about this episode. I loved the sense of panic and of twisted justice in the beginning sequences. I loved the look on Dean's face when the one they managed to save (for a little while), said that he'd done his thirty years and then been paroled. I loved that Sam called Dean (again) on his drinking. I loved that Bobby knew right away that Dean would be on that thing's radar. And I love that Sam defended Dean and forgives him, or never blamed him in the first place. (though he doesn't know everything, does he?) I loved the scenes with Jo. And I love that Sam is feeling good.

Basically, I just love this show!

Yes, yes! Dean's face. His panic and his resignation. And the fact that he'd rather DIE than have Sam be disappointed in him.

Guh!!!!

I've got a feeling that Sam is gonna forgive Dean for Amy too. Loved Sam's defense of his brother.

I knew there was going to be a montage - they've done some good ones and some bad ones, and I thought the ones in this ep worked nicely.

I was kind of "Well..." about Sam being so mellow at the end, but someone at TWoP proposed that Sam HAS to take that stance, rather than let go and go bananas. That works for me.

Ah, Show. You keep luring me back in. You know just how to play me.

Yeah, I am hoping for extended bouts of PTSD for Sam and I'm hoping it doesn't go away (sadist that I am), but I'm glad that Sam has forgiven himself. Just a little....a little....I'm hoping that for Dean as well. It's time, you know.

After the go-round that Dean had with Henriksen, Ronald, and Meg, all of whom violently blamed him for what happened to them - it's nice to see him listen to someone he cared about, who doesn't blame him for what happened. I'd love to see that seed take root.

I know folks just love those whumpage opportunities, but ye GODS it was nice to see smart, capable Sam. I'd like more of that, plz. For Dean, as well!

I adore Sam this season. And I've adored Sam since the pilot, but this is like the best of all Sam worlds - idealism mixed with hard-hard-won experience.

I LOVED this ep. It really felt like the characters grew and evolved. And that's always a little piece of awesome. I did think, however, that Sam got 'normal' a tad fast. We see one small indication he's still using the sore spot on his palm to purge the devil but that's it? Just felt short-changed.

My heart totally went out to Dean. I so hope Sammy got through to him, just a smidge. The guy needs an effin' break!

Season Seven, I heart you.

It doesn't seem like Sammy is OK, just at peace with his issues. I liked.

I did like the peace he's making with himself...maybe I just wanna see a little more crazy? But there's time for that! ;)

I think I'd like to see a little more crazy, if it's the focus of (part of) a specific episode or two. A response to a particular situation. Not just "here it is again...and again...and again" - like Dean's angst. I'm thinking right now, that if these two guys are that completely crippled by what's going on in their heads, they would have been dog food a long time ago. Let's make 'em smart and capable, with an *occasional* problem!

At first when I was watching the episode I kind of thought 'Uh not so much", but after it was over, after a few minutes, I thought " Hell Yeah!" There were some great moments. I didn't care for Osiris because he reminded me of the principal on Glee, But the Sam and Dean moments, and Dean in the bar...oh yeah! m :)

It's funny because I was "hell yeah" from the moment it started. I'm typically easy to please, when it comes to this show, but this season is just working on every level. I've watched each episode at least a few times.

Now I just need to get back to writing again...

And yeah, the brother moments were awesome!

And in the bar when the bartender asked Dean "love or work" and he hesitated; my little wincesty heart squeed. m :)

You know, I was underwhelmed UNTIL Sam was called up to the stand. Then I loved it.

Jo vs Dean was just as intimate as her death. Perfect.

I'm glad it worked for you half way through. Loved the Jo and Dean scene, especially as a contrast to Dean&Lisa from last season. He really did think of her as "a kid" like his Sam. That's why the romance aspect never quite worked. But this was even more poignant, more bittersweet.

Oooh! I think you hit on something interesting there, Debbie. I could never put my finger on why the whole Dean/Lisa thing never clicked for me. I was fine with it in "The Kids Are Alright" - the dynamic worked fine. But later on - some of the flisties were encouraging me to write some Dean/Lisa, and I thought, "You know, I'm not feeling it."

I don't know what Jensen's dynamic with that actress is - but there's no spark there. But when he works with Alona, it's right there and you can FEEL it. Yes, it's a little sister/big brother affection rather than romance, but it's so genuine.
