I knew there was going to be a montage - they've done some good ones and some bad ones, and I thought the ones in this ep worked nicely.
I was kind of "Well..." about Sam being so mellow at the end, but someone at TWoP proposed that Sam HAS to take that stance, rather than let go and go bananas. That works for me.
Ah, Show. You keep luring me back in. You know just how to play me.
Yeah, I am hoping for extended bouts of PTSD for Sam and I'm hoping it doesn't go away (sadist that I am), but I'm glad that Sam has forgiven himself. Just a little....a little....I'm hoping that for Dean as well. It's time, you know.
After the go-round that Dean had with Henriksen, Ronald, and Meg, all of whom violently blamed him for what happened to them - it's nice to see him listen to someone he cared about, who doesn't blame him for what happened. I'd love to see that seed take root.
I know folks just love those whumpage opportunities, but ye GODS it was nice to see smart, capable Sam. I'd like more of that, plz. For Dean, as well!
I adore Sam this season. And I've adored Sam since the pilot, but this is like the best of all Sam worlds - idealism mixed with hard-hard-won experience.
Yes! I was thinking how much I loved Sam this Season! And not only is he rocking the idealism and hard won experience as you said, but he no longer seems to have the rage that he has felt since even season 1!
