Further Reflections

My prison program seems to be going well! Some people I respect greatly have told me I should rethink it, so that is exactly what I'll do. I have a prison pen pal to confer with, and a great deal of feedback from those who work in law enforcement. If you have any ideas about revising my prison rehabilitation program, let me know ( Read more... )

Even if you decide to rethink it, I think your program is a really compassionate idea - thank you.

I know you enjoyed the circus in your country - if you like sights and souvenirs, you should go to the circus here. The Big Berry circus is in town right now, and it's a great one. I know the Ringmaster, and if you'd like to go, I can ask him to greet you personally. I'm sure he'd be honored.

Congratulations on your new secretaries. I think they'll enjoy working for you.

Bay leaf mints sound interesting - are they made in your country?

Oh yes, the circus--!

I'm so incredibly delighted by your offer to provide an introduction to the ringmaster, Mr. Dingling! How kind! I hadn't even thought to attend a circus. I'll have to bring my staff along. I'm sure they'll enjoy it a great deal. I'm quite excited by the prospect.

And yes, yes, we do make bay leaf mints in Cohdopia. I don't think they make them anywhere else. They're a delightful blend of sweet and savory.

I'm also very glad you like my program. Thank you. I'm still not sure what direction to take it in, but I'll certainly be sending a care package to the prison soon. Now that I think of it, I'll include some bay leaf mints so you can try them.

((what no I didn't delete the last one because of a typo HOW RIDICULOUS)) agent_andrews May 20 2010, 22:31:26 UTC
A lot of the sights in this city are less about landmarks and more about culture. One thing I like to do is go to a listing of concerts and festivals and pick one at random to go to every month. You can learn a lot about a place by what it's people like to do, I find.

That makes a great deal of sense to me. Thank you very much for such insightful advice, Ms. Andrews. I'll take it to heart.

Is there any festival or concert you particularly enjoyed?

Two secretaries! Congratulations. Does that mean the embassy isn't hiring anymore...?

Thank you very much, Ms. Paups.

Oh no, not at all! We're hiring quite actively at the moment, and I hope to hire many more local people.

An Ambassador's secretaries are high-ranking diplomatic officials, and so they must come from Cohdopia.

We're still looking for the other type of secretary, as well as clerical and public relations employees of all sorts.

Oho! I sometimes wish I had a secretary or an assistant too, pal. It might be nice to be the one spitting out orders for a change.

"Polish my badge!" "Sharpen my pencils!" "Fetch me some Swiss Rolls!" The possibilities are endless!

I'm in charge of everyone here at the embassy! I don't give a lot of orders, though. I sharpen all my own pencils.

However, my secretary used to tell me to do things like that. I do hope the new ones will be more agreeable.

A detective such as yourself doesn't have any subordinates?

Well yeah, I do have subordinates and they listen to me most of the time. We aren't supposed to send 'em out on personal errands, though. Only the guys with real authority get to do that.

Oh, I see! That makes sense. You mean like Mr. Edgeworth?

Though I suppose I do have that kind of authority as well. I might feel a bit guilty asking an assistant to bring me some tea, however, when I could get it myself...

Do you think I should try it?

It's embarrassing to admit that I have not visited many local landmarks even though I was born and raised here. My expertise lies on a more international level...but of course naturally, you do not need any guidance in that area.

Congratulations on acquiring new staff, Ambassador. I can attest to the fact that an extra hand or two is always a big help.

That's understandable, though happily you have the opportunity to travel the world, which is wonderful! Often when we're young, we don't think to visit places like that, especially if our parents don't take us. Familiarity makes one miss things.

That's one good thing about living away from home. I appreciate it all the more when I return.

Speaking of which, I think I'll be returning to Cohdopia briefly for the induction ceremony (we love our ceremonies), especially as it happens to correspond with my parents' anniversary. So perhaps I'll see you on the flight!

Yes, that's one aspect of my job that I enjoy very much.

And that's wonderful! I hope to see you on board soon, Ambassador.
