Malorie Blackman has been awarded an OBE in the latest honours list.

She deserves all her success. :-)

I do respect Benjamin Zephaniah for rejecting it, but it's up to Malorie Blackman to decide what it means for her.

I agree. I like that people are free to take either option, accept or reject, and I've heard people express good reasons for both. Ben speaks well for those who choose to reject Empire honours and I expect Ms Blackman to be able to express what I presume will be her acceptance equally well.
