English that is supposed to be logical by other peoples' standards is fucking ridiculous.

Sorry those tests are being stressful little bastards.

Thanks. Half the time I don't even know why I'm stressing so hard about this: not all the school require GRE scores, and if I don't get in, I have a great job and I can always try again next year. A lot of it's probably habit. And rage at people who think language should only be a tool and not a toy, when it is the best toy ever. It's like someone giving you a Slinky and telling you that you can only use it to hold the door closed. Or something. My metaphor may be broken.

I get stressing over things that a part of you doesn't understand why you're stressing. It's really exhausting. Hope you have a day to nap through some of it.

The metaphor works. Language is fun when you kick it down the stairs. Or maybe that's the language of the people kicked down them...

The test prep books are loltastic, for sure.

Good luck with the test, though! (Just remind yourself that at least you don't have to take a subject test, too? :P)

Thank goodness for that! (Bye bye, University of Texas at Austin, you looked swell but I cannot deal with subject tests right now).

At least after tomorrow it will be over, one way or another.

Thanks! I won't get my writing sections graded for a few weeks yet, but I got my Verbal and Quantitative Scores and I can live with them. :)
