The Happiness Project

I forgot to mention that last night I dreamed that I was interested in four (!) different women, and was talking to my friends about which one I liked the best. They were all younger than me, which is not surprising because I'm an old fart.

I'm still on a quest to use up food that I have. I have some frozen edamame, and I found a recipe to make it ( Read more... )

It's always nice being around someone who has a positive attitude a lot of the time. I think I read the happiness project a while back but I can't remember for sure. Clearly I didn't take it enough to heart though!

I don't know what to do with this weather, it's going to be like that here too. I really love cooler weather, I don't do well once we get above 80 degrees and I was hoping we might get an actual spring with some 60s and 70s for a while, I hate going directly into summer weather. Also going to have to see if the a/c is going to work as expected.

Love it when you can find healthy recipes that actually taste good!

I'll see how the "positive attitude training" goes...

I hate going from winter to summer, but I'm not surprised.

I'm thrilled that I found those recipes.

Using up food reserves is a good project. Edamame - yum!!! Which reminds me I still have frozen sardines and always wanted to try and make those dry sardines they sell in Spain on the coast. It's been so long...

I've never tried sardines. Are they good?

Sardinas fritas are deep fried sardines, very crunchy, fishy, with a touch of lemon. I love them.

You can also get canned sardines of course but they are very different, soft, and oily. I like both but they are very different things.

If memory serves me correctly, the Happiness Project is by Gretchen Rubin (sp) and she takes on a project each month to try to improve her happiness. I believe I have a copy of it in Missouri, and I read it when it came out, but I never tried the workbook. I'll be curious to see how you like it and if the workbook enhances the experience of reading the book.

The workbook isn't associated with Rubin. There is a diary associated with the Happiness Project, but I want to see if I like the book first.

Sounds like a very busy day.

We visit some friends recently who heated frozen edamame in the microwave and sprinkled a bit of salt on it and we all snacked on it. It was delicious.
