I Did Watch the Ice Dancing

I tackled the German pronunciation course. It's hard and assumes that you know some German. But I'm learning from it although I know almost nothing. I also printed off the lesson from last time and the chat. And I reviewed the Web page with pronunciation rules. I'm game for the lesson.

I went on a Danube river cruise four years ago and decided to try to get as much German under my belt as possible with Duolingo. I have only studied Romance languages in the past, but I thought German might be easy since it is supposed to have the most English cognates. I was wrong. It was so hard. I really struggled with it, especially as there are no hard and fast rules about masculine and feminine nouns as there are with Italian and Spanish.

I'm sure that I'll struggle with masculine and feminine nouns too, but right now it's the pronunciation.

Watching all that ice dancing sounds fun! It is the only part of the Olympics I really like.

Those Truckers clogging the Ambassador bridge and their US supporters are whacked is my thought. I see this morning they are starting to arrest the ones that still won't leave.
