"We're charging you with the murder of Daniel Jackson." yeah, because THAT DOESN'T SOUND WEIRD.

Apropos of nothing, but one extremely minor thing in this episode reminded me of something that permissionslip and I used to obsess about when I visited her in London Town: WHY DO Y'ALL LIKE YOUR SANDWICHES IN TRIANGULAR PACKAGING? Honestly? I thought it was a Pret-a-Manger thing. And then I realized it was everywhere in London. And it's always the same four/ ( Read more... )

I am really enjoying L&O: Jolly Good, Guv! to be honest. I even forget Jamie Bamber is Jamie Bamber!

So am I! And quite frankly, I figured I'd enjoy it on one of two levels: a) "I have a near-encyclopediac knowledge of 17+ years of L&O, so what the hell, WHO AM I HURTING IN THIS" and b) BATTLESTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR. Surprisingly, it has reached a new point: c) sort of all right unto itself, yay?

DICK WOLF OWNS ME, I GUESS, IS WHAT I'M SAYING.

It's more enjoyable than Le CI, mainly because I can, y'know, understand it. But the cast are good, the chemistry is good, Bamber's charming and Freema has the cutest cardis I've ever seen.

Who are we kidding, we're Dick Wolf's Bitches. Fo' lyfe!

(OMG I TOTALLY SECOND THIS MOTION. James Callis as, frankly, anything. It would be amazing.)

I know, right! It turns out I actually like it for more than just the Lee and Martha Show.

(I KNOW :(((((( I'm still hoping for campaign-event-sponsored formal wear, by the way. Mark my words.)

ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT WAS MATT MISSING OUT ON HER TASTY PAIN DU CHOCOLAT.

I AM IMPRESSED BY YOUR ABILITY TO PAY ATTENTION TO OTHER THINGS, BUT I CANNOT TELL A LIE.

Okay really, I found all of it fascinating and instantly shipped prosecuting counsel with the defense. And I could actually follow the story this time, whereas the last go-round I felt a bit gobsmacked by the pace but still loved Jamie Jamie Jamie in natural light OMG.

UM.

Yeah.

Don't mind me, over here!

re sammiches, since i have not yet enjoyed the wonder that is l&o: the bill:

it is how we wrap ours too. i think it is for the purposes of showing what is inside it at easy glance. also, neater packaging; it's easier to take half out of that kind of container.

It's SO CLEVER, and I love it.

(OH MAN, now I so want to call this L&O: The Bill now, but as we discussed having never actually seen said The Bill, it feels off. Also: show is great fun, not deep, and not crap. MARTHA JONES IS FIERCE AND GREAT)
