"We're charging you with the murder of Daniel Jackson." yeah, because THAT DOESN'T SOUND WEIRD.

Apropos of nothing, but one extremely minor thing in this episode reminded me of something that permissionslip and I used to obsess about when I visited her in London Town: WHY DO Y'ALL LIKE YOUR SANDWICHES IN TRIANGULAR PACKAGING? Honestly? I thought it was a Pret-a-Manger thing. And then I realized it was everywhere in London. And it's always the same four/five different types of sandwiches! Everywhere! What the what! (No, seriously. This was a big deal to me.)

BUT ANYWAY:

Well, it was quite obvious that Martha Jones Alesha was Claire Kincaid, and Harriet Walter was Lieutenant Van Buren in this, yes yes? SURPRISE. BASED ON A SEASON 4 EPISODE. SO I AM RIGHT.

But lo, here is the unexpected: BEN DANIELS IS JACK MCCOY. HE USED TO SLEEP WITH DEFENSE COUNCIL WHILE HE MAY HAVE BEEN MARRIED. HE IS JACK MCCOY. (I say this because, let's face it, Ben Stone was celibate. Righteous, yes, but oh, my God, was he celibate.)

YOU GUYS. THEIR PSYCH EXPERT IS DR. ELIZABETH OLIVET RAWLS. LOL X A THOUSAND. I love you, L&O: UK. I really mean it.

Oi, me. One day, someone will explain wigs vs. no wigs. I DON'T GET IT. Also: I was not aware the American legal decision had sway in a British court?!?!?! I mean, while we're on the subject of ~the law~, it is sort of... weird not watching something where the characters can automatically be all, "Yeah, well the Twinkie defense was weird until it worked!" and I realize that all the many CRAZY AMERICAN MENTAL INSANITY CLAIMS that have worked don't actually translate into some global jurisprudence. (Seriously: a guy claims he only committed murder because he ate so many Twinkies that it sent him into some ~sugar-crazed rage~ AND SAID DEFENSE ACTUALLY WORKED TO GET HIM ACQUITTED. Honestly? Only in America. ONLY IN AMERICA.)

Oh, and Jamie was pretty, yes yes, I suppose - NOT GONNA LIE. This is quickly becoming the last thing I notice, SORRY LEE ADAMA FANS. Eeeeeeeeeexempt for him missing "breakfast" with Martha Alesha (IT'S STILL WEIRD). I loved that.

In conclusion, why am I a giant L&O nerd? (zomg, why is the Mike and Connie show not new again until 3/11, according to my TiVo season pass? And why is the TiVo description of said new episode only, "Detectives and prosecutors work to convict criminals"?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?! OBVIOUSLY, TIVO. OBVIOUSLY.)

chung chung but with manners
