I can't really notice the Bamber's wonky accent too much, but that's probably due to the fact that it's still a bit of a culture shock to hear it in the first place. It's a good thing, though, that this airs in fair proximity to BSG, because otherwise it would be a lot like the awful six-month period where I had to learn to switch between Mac and PC keyboard shortcuts without looking stupid. Um, yes.

In other news, is it wrong that I'm adoring The Bamber's partner? He's so fun. And The Bamber's Benjamin Bratt impersonation was kind of hysterical.

a) The Bamber and Freema are adorable and Bradley Walsh cracks me up.
b) UK courts don't really rely on foreign cases as binding precedents, but they do consider them to be persuasive precedents. Basically it means that though the court isn't obliged to follow them, they're likely to do so unless the opposing counsel can make a really good argument as to why they shouldn't.
