In the financial district. Posh-looking print shop. Very pristine. This sign is six feet on a side, made of half-inch thick glass, with silk-screened lettering, bolted to the wall and six feet in front of the face of every customer. You know that someone has pointed this out to them, at least once. I guess they’re either:

a) Too cheap and / or lazy to have it fixed;
b) Confident that the majority of society is either so illiterate or so
apathetic that it will not cut into their business;
c) Apathetic themselves.

Either way, not good. You were right to leave. May I suggest a new line of unobtrusive little stickers for use on the linguistically challenged?

I thought of this -particularly the title, "Way To Inspire Confidence"- and your dislike of the abuse of apostrophes while watching TV last night. An ad for D'youville College came on -you know, a place where they presumably teach things like, oh, say, English, and perhaps "What A Contraction Is", things of that nature- and the text at the top of the screen scrolled along with the announcer's voice:

"D'Youville College let's you determine your future..."

Gah. Sign me up.

P.S. - Remember those old, great TTC ads that said, "We can help you with your Reading Writing Math!"...? Hee.
