It's funny; i actually DLd his whole podcasting run, but haven't actually listened to it because the first two or three episodes were basically him whining about Da Business and calling a friend of his to bitch about it some more. Does it change substantially later on? Can you recommend any particular episodes?

Well, yes and no. The bitterness and loathing is a part of the act, but in those first few episodes, it's a little bit less act-y and a little more genuine.

Later on, though, he really hits his stride. The one which I embedded the audio of in this post is really a great show, and a lot of the ones around that time have him in great form.

Oh dear, it's been a week already? I've been completely wasting my time with Oblivion. Why don't you guys too with these two Let's Play thingamajigies?

Livin' in Oblivion is a documentation of Christopher Livingston trying to play Oblivion as an NPC. He creates an ugly character, actively avoids adventure, has a mod installed that gives him the need to eat and sleep daily and tries to get by doing menial, non-heroic tasks. I'm a big fan of Livingston's writing, and you may already have read his most popular work Concerned: The Half-Life and Death of Gordon Frohman in which he does something similar, only it's nothing like that.

The other one is In a Hostile Country: The Saga of Cahmel which is a more standard Let's Play of Morrowind in which Adam DeCamp showcases just how fucked up the gameworld is. It's mostly driven by DeCamp's clever writing as he seems to forget taking screenshots a lot. The other stuff on his site is well worth checking out as well.
