I have finally reached the point where blowing my nose isn't my primary activity and coughing isn't constantly interrupting my train of thought (yes, it doesn't take much...) Rain all night, woke to snow on the ski hill- pretty low down, too. Sun actually came out around noon, so I worked outside, planting a feed sack full of iris roots. Had no time, space, or energy to plant them properly; they are packed into the ground (where we grew squash this summer) like sardines. It's finally cooled down here, thank goddess. It's still up in the 80s, but after a couple of weeks of 90+, the 80s are absolutely blissful. For a few days there, I didn't even run the fans, much less the AC. It's rained! Only for a couple of hours, but it at least got the ground (and me) wet.

Bah. It’s very hot here again, with thunder and lightning at night but hot sun in the day. No rain, no breeze. And I’m either ill again-fever, upsets of the lower digestive track, headache- or having one of those weird flares where that happens but it seems to have nothing to do with a virus or bacteria.
