made to order, one Garden of Eden

Things were working well so far, with importing a garden into the Dark City. Daniel had found a place and did all the hard work, which was the mountain of paperwork. In the dark of the night, the soil was imported in from Harley's friend in Gotham. It was the finest soil around, which would provide plenty of stability for a future for the garden.

Sarah arrives a little later, dressed casually with her hair up in a kerchief. She looks eager to help with the planting. Too bad Belle couldn't come with her, but a talking plant creature would be a bit too much for the city to handle.

"You're welcome, Thorn." She's happy to see Thorn's appetite returning, even if that means there won't be leftovers anymore. She blinks at Daniel and then giggles, blushing a little herself. "No, that's okay. Well, maybe a little bit. I'm not very hungry."

"I think I might have accidentally started a trend of iced coffee," she admits to Harley. "But I think it's good for the city, to be exposed to new things."

[janitor_thorn]

"N-n-need more r-radio s-stations." Thorn misses the music of his own world, depending on a few old cassettes and an ancient (By early 21st Century standards) boombox for his entertainment.
He licks at the ice cream cone contentedly, meticulous about keeping the ice cream off his gloves.

Schreber blushes and grins and licks his popsicle once, then offers it to Sarah. He looks at Harley and nods. "We have trees that glow in... the dark. I don't... think unusual innovations are such a bad i...dea. We're not a norm...al city." He glances around but nobody's really listening.

"It would not be hard to slowly bring in more things." Harley suggested softly. "A step forward."
